!
.
The support ticket I filled out for Blizzard Games.
.
I have had a particularly tough year,
.
One small highlight was watching BlizzCon live with the virtual ticket.
.
So I managed, with a bit of sacrifice, to not only find the money for the (now more expensive ticket) but also £20 worth of Pizza to make the whole night a bit of a personal occasion.
.
But halfway through the Overwatch part of the opening ceremony, the feed kept closing, changing to the wrong language, and this kept happening to the point that it became unstable!
.
Yes,, while I can watch it all again later when OR if it is fixed, but it is is not the same.
It has not got the same energy as seeing that opening ceremony live and hearing the cool stuff, first hand.
.
Maybe I put too much store in this one treat to make life seem a little better at the moment, and of course part of me knows that I am overreacting, but I am just too psychologically tired now to even feel angry.
.
I am sorry,
.
But I am done.
.
This is just slightly too big a blow for me to take right now.
.
It would be nice to at least get a ticket refund, but even then I am still within three inches of deleting all the blizzard games and them deleting my account.
.
I am just to exhausted and beaten by life, in general, to even argue about it with you.
.
I really do not see how your customer service team could possibly ever make this right for me, because of how much I needed this one treat this year!
.
This could really, very well mean, Goodbye!
.
PS.
(Put your mind at ease, I just mean goodbye as a customer, I am NOT suicidal!)

Your ticket has received the following response:
.
Hey Ross,
.
Thanks for getting in touch! I've taken a look into this for you and have requested a refund of your virtual ticket, as it isn't fair for you to pay for something that isn't working correctly for you - this should be fully processed within 2 weeks (although it's usually much faster)!
.
Sorry, it isn't running correctly for you - I hope your pizza was nice, at least!
.
Kaszbad.
.
I'll leave you with a GM joke to cheer you up...
.
A Goblin walks into a bar and asks for a packet of Gyrocopter-flavoured crisps.
The bartender says "I'm sorry, sir, we only sell plane."

UPDATE! 22nd NOV 2018
.
So I finally swallow my pride and reinstall WOW.
.
I reckon that maybe I overreacted, and besides, I have 3 months time left so I might as well dip my toe in.
.
Then I find that all the Loot Stuff such as the cool 'Mantel of the Alliance' and the Banner that goes with it have been taken back from me!
.
Yes I did request and receive my refund for my "Virtual Blizzcon Ticket" because it did not function properly and therefore was not "Suitable for Purpose"
.
But to take all the ickle free goodies back away from me seems both stingy and petty of them!
.
There was simply no need, these were not physical items, It would have taken an actual proper effort to have taken them from my account!
.
My understanding is that they were an "Extra Bonus Item" for purchasing a ticket, not that they were an intrinsic part of the purchase package!
.
I purchased the Ticket in good faith!
.
Considering how loyal I have been for how long I have been loyal,
.
It seems a pretty crappy way to be treated!
.
I can not help but feel, a little slighted!
.
It is not as if I had hatched some evil scheme to purchase the ticket to get the bonus goodies and then cancelled just to get my money back!
.
So I guess I will free up some hard disk space and uninstall WOW once again,
.
There is no point using the last 3 months of time if I do not feel I want to commit to any further time purchase.
.
Obviously, I will still play the Blizard games I already own,
.
But I am likely just to dabble rather than get properly involved,
.
I am certainly less likely to purchase Loot Boxes or HotS Gems in future,
.
Or even purchase any new Blizzard releases,
.
If they are not going to be loyal to me, then I sure as hell not going to feel brand loyalty to them!
.
I am sure a super-powerful brand is not going to miss my meagre money compared to their billions,
.
But it is a significant indication of the truth of how they actually see their customer v's all the "We love our community" shpeal they dish and gush out!
.
I certainly no longer feel like a Valued member of the Blizzard Player Community!
.
I will out of due diligence, try and get a copy of this post to Blizard to allow a reply to these opinions, but I very much doubt they will answer.
.
Old style Blizzard may have answered,
.
But this new thing they are slowly turning into is highly unlikely too!
.
I hope they prove me wrong!

Hello Ross,
.
I am sad to hear that you've had a tough year and that you had streaming issues, which meant you missed some of the opening ceremonies. I can also understand why you would feel disappointed about having the in-game items removed, but you do have a misunderstanding about this.
.
I feel I have to start with explaining that the refund you were given, was a major exception to the refund policies we are given. As we were told to decline all refunds once Blizzcon had started. But we GM’s are human and have compassion, so the previous GM felt that for you it was a good and fair exception to make. Therefore he gave you a refund.
.
However, the in-game loot are not free extras, they are part of the package. As you wanted a refund of that package, it is right that they are removed from your account. The different parts of the virtual ticket are not something that we can pick and choose what to remove when it’s refunded. Which means the removal of the in-game items has nothing to do with your loyalty or being slighted, as you stated in your blog post. But simply you wanted a refund for a product, we gave you that refund, which obviously would also remove that product from your account.
.
It is not possible to give you the individual parts, that you want, of the virtual ticket. It is all or nothing. So I am sorry but if you want the in-game items back, you will have to repurchase the virtual ticket.
.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
