I am pretty sure as a fellow Fallout fan you can understand where I might be coming from!
I feel like a parent that is frustrated with a stupid child,
Yes, I may love them, but I also want to smack them upside the dam head!

I am not totally stupid!

I know a fair amount of tech stuff!
(I now know a lot more now than I did 48 hours ago!)

There were multiple reinstalls of both the game and various drivers, file Verifications, compatibility checks and all sorts of weird and wonderful crap from the sensible to the truly stupid from all over the net,
.
The wealth of contradictory information on the internet about how to keep Fallout 4 working alone is a testament to how badly Bethesda are constantly screwing this up!

Nealy 48 hour later, of which only bits out of 7 hours was spent sleeping, I finally gave up!
.
Sometime after around 3 hours after resorting to looking up DLL dependencies and reloading DLL files, I found that reality was stronger than my mere mortal willpower!
.
I very much regret now having purchased as a treat for myself those extra Creation Club Credits!
.
Unfortunately, as an owner of Fallout 76, I now feel far less faith, confidence and love for the entire franchise!
.
Although Fallout 4 is a different game, my experience has soured and severely dampened my enthusiasm for Fallout 76 as well!
.
Although I do understand this overly emotional reaction is totally irrational, that doe not make the emotions I now feel any less real or true!
.I wish I had given up much sooner,
.
When you get to a point of such an extreme that you find yourself pissing about with DLL files for what is supposed to be an accessible computer game for normal general public consumption,
.
Then you should know it is time to simply walk away from and uninstall such a game!
.
Bethesda has some brilliant games and some great stories to tell, it is such a disappointing shame that they keep letting themselves down so badly!
