Dear Struggling Friend
.
Be a Fighter!
.
You can be a "fighter" without meaning that you are aggressive a bully or nasty!
I am a fighter!
Or at least, I try to be...
But for me that just means never quitting and always getting up when you are knocked down, ignoring the pain.
This does not mean just physically.
Being a "fighter" means fighting in a thousand different ways.
.
Including the path of a pacifist!
(if that is who you are)
.
It is simply refusing to
"Stay Down!"
When everyone, including you, screams and begs you to!
.
But it might not be a thug that is screaming at you to
"stay down".
It might instead be the critic that says your work is crap.
Or
It might be your inner voice when you failed your diet and gained 2Ibs!
Or
That self-doubt that tells you not to ask that secret crush out to dinner. - Because they are clearly "out of your league".
Or
Simple tiredness in any situation.
Or
It might be a toxic relative putting you down with sweet-sounding sickly words at a large family occasion.
Or
It might be cancer.
.
It is not hitting something that makes a person a fighter.
It is taking the hits and keeping going.
THAT, win or lose, is what makes a person a fighter.
It is simply the fact of never quitting - ever!
Even if you should!
.
So -
Dear friend, I tell you this!
BE A FIGHTER!

.
You cannot win in this life -
If you do not at least try to participate in it!
.
Failure is better! -
- Then not trying at all!
.
It is much better to fail!
- Then having never tried your hardest!
.
I'd rather look like a delusional fool and a total tool!
Then just passively hope and wait for things to get better!
.
Failure IS forgivable!
Cowardice is NOT!
