THE SUICIDE MYTH!
- NO ONE ACTUALLY DOES THIS!

NO ONE "Commits Suicide"
It is not something someone does
It is something that happened to them!
.
They did not "Commit" an act of self-destruction,
They were murdered by their illness!
They are a victim.
NOT a perpetrator.
.
When your brain is flooded, against your will, with toxic depressive chemicals.
During that time you are not "You"
Something being "Real" and something being "True" are not the same things.
The terrible feelings ARE REAL - BUT they are NOT TRUE
.
You truly feel worthless and undeserving of life, and these feelings are REAL,
- But they are Not true!
You are unable to see the truth because the chemicals flooding your brain, against your will, never let you perceive the truth,
- Only feel the pain!
.
A person does not "commit" an act of "suicide".
They are not to blame.
They did not betray their loved ones.
They were not cowards.
Suicide killed them!
.
They did not "commit" a crime
They did not fail the world,
Such language is NOT helpful for either those still fighting,
...Or for those left behind!
... Or for the recognition of community mental health, needs in a larger sense.
.
They were pushed, terrified, for the hundredth time or more, into a fighting pit to face the same monster again and again,
No fighter can win every time, forever,
Sooner or later, the monster will win!
And while you have to fight each and every time to survive.
The monster only has to win once, to claim victory forever.
One single time, and then you are dead.
.
Stop blaming the victims for their own murders!
They tried to win!
They fought to the death!
The sickness won!
They lost!
.
I repeat, again,
And please try to understand,
This slightly different outlook is vital!
As this change in public perception and language may help!
So you can do more, - Help more, - And stop more battles from being lost.
It could save lives!
