.
Ignore the movies, cartoons and tv.
Violence is not, in itself, good, evil, or glamorous,
Any more than a flame, wind, or rocks can ever be, in themselves, good, evil, or glamorous,
.
It just is.
.
No more.
No less.
.
Like an engine sacrificing torque for speed
Or
Like a metal sacrificing flexibility for hardness yet becoming more brittle.
Big or small, slight or extreme, EVERYTHING has some sort of ‘Design cost’
Nothing is free.
.
These are some of the “Design cost” that you must pay for being a so-called “badass”.
This is not a gated 1 or 0 sate.
Like a dimmer switch, you decide how dark you want to go.
The more extreme you get the larger the bills get.
.
1)
Nightmares, paranoia, guilt for surviving, and Fear
(…but not fear as you may currently know it. Instead, Fear of yourself that is far worse than any fear you may once have had of others.)
Never sharing a bed with anyone again because you might hurt them in your sleep.
.
2)
Addiction!
The pain, adrenalin, rage, and terror can make crack cocaine seem like a mere lollypop.
Make no mistake,
When you fight...
This is exactly the same as any winy teenager’s self-harm,
Just dressed in a delusional macho package.
.
And if you are very unlucky.
.
3)
Both (1) and (2) at forever simultaneously,
Like a merry-go-round of spinning blades that you are too terrified to jump off of AND that you are far too addicted to ever leave at the same time!
.
Violent so-called badasses are NOT special, they are needed, they are a fact of life, they are partly cursed, but they are not special in the way that TV, Film and Cartoons portray them.
.
On the whole,
I recommend that you enjoy your life instead.
.
Why is the respect of some stranger in a bar of more value to you than being able to hug your children and still feel something?!
Do you really want to spend the rest of your life having to fake any real warm feelings?
And if so,
Why?
.
If you really want to be an extraordinary rebel of some kind, to be different, special, and more unique, then try being a pacifist instead!
I bet you could not do that!
I know that I can’t
Just saying,
