Whatever “We” become as a nation,

Whatever the politics,

“These fundamental things still apply, as time goes by”

At the end of the day, all people will really want is to get on with their little lives,

They just want to be able to fall in love, raise children and enjoy the company of friends in a safe environment.
.
We should perhaps remember this before we are so quick to bomb the crap out of a country because we are supposed to hate their style government!

Almost every war,

Where every brave heroic soldier and been killed,

Where every wife and mother has mourned,

For every medal that has ever been awarded, with parade, honour and pride,

For every war crime,

Where every child has been murdered,

For every cry for justice and righteous vengeance!

Has really only ever been to make some already rich person,
.
Either behind a desk or on a throne a “crapload” more money,
.
Because to them, we are not fellow human beings,
.
Because to them, we are only “mere things” to manipulate and harvest.
.
And we are always told that “Our War” is different.
.
“Our war is just”
.
And too many of us are fooled into believing them.

We never ever learn.
