As a Dad, I often have issues with the kids arguing over stupid stuff.
.
This system was designed to allow them to settle their own arguments!
.
If was first designed for argument over TV channel but can easily be used for other arguments such as,
What ice cream to get,
What camping site to go to,
And
What day out should we have.
.
It may seem a little long-winded and protracted,
But as I said to my kids,
.
You can spend 5 minutes doing this system,
.

The Child Anti Argument System. V1.3

As a Dad, I often have issues with the kids arguing over stupid stuff.

It may seem a little long-winded and protracted,
But as I said to my kids,
.
You can spend 5 minutes doing this system,
OR
Waste half an hour of your limited ‘Screen Time’ arguing over what to watch!
.
This system is as follows.
.
(This stops petty spite and makes them consider each other’s tastes and wishes!)
.
.
(Theoretically)
PROBLEM SOLVED,
.
(Until one of my smart-arse kids work out a way of working this system to their unfair advantage,)
.
(SO only have until about 3 weeks from now!)

.
THE IMMATURE ADULT BONUS!
.
.
There is no reason why a group of us grown-ups can not use exactly the same system to pick restaurants, bars and movies.
.
It may seem a little long-winded and protracted,

But you can spend either 5 minutes doing this system,
.
This system is as follows.
.
.
Stage 1
The List
.
Each makes a list of their 5 chosen options
Listed in order of preference 1 through 5
.
(Number 1 on their list is their favourite!)
.
.
Stage 2
Go Compare!
.
Compare both lists and pull away all the choices that are on both lists.
.
.
Stage 3
The Math
Stage 1
The List
.
Each makes a list of their 5 chosen options
Listed in order of preference 1 through 5
.
(Number 1 on their list is their favourite!)
.
The lists MUST BE DONE IN PRIVATE WITHOUT CONFERING OR SHARING!
. .
Stage 2
Go Compare!
.
Compare both lists and pull away all the choices that are on both lists.
.
.
Stage 3
The Math
.
From each pulled away item,
from each both list,
the numbers are then added together.
.
(Remember number 1 would be someone’s first option, through 5, their least favourite)
.
The item with the LOWEST score is what gets chosen!
.
.
Stage 4
Everyone Wins (Eventually)
.
The person who “Lost” gets to -1 from score off their shared top item, next time.
.
(But only IF it is still on both list!)
.
If they lose a second time, they get to add -2 instead.
.
And if they still lose then they get a -3 to deduct from their favourite item
.
If they lose a 4th time, then they automatically get their choice
.
(But again, only IF it is still on both list!)
.
One your bonus as been successfully used once then you bonuses and modifiers are reset to zero!
.
.
Stage 5
The Stick that goes with the carrot!
.
If neither child has even a single thing that matches on both lists then,
.
NO ONE GETS ANYTHING AT ALL!
.
From each pulled away item,
from each both list,
the numbers are then added together.
.
(Remember number 1 would be someone’s first option, through 5, their least favourite)
.
The item with the LOWEST score is what gets chosen!
.
(If two scores are equally low, then the person who lost last time chooses which one, out of those two, gets picked!)
..

NO IF'S
NO BUTTS!
NO COCONUTS!
