Is it worth sticking with GTA ONLINE! (PC VERSION)In hope of general improvement and change?

I love and hate GTA Online in equal measure,

I Like GTA 5 itself, it is achingly beautiful.

The world and setting are entertaining, engaging and epic.
.
BUT!
.
The player environment is SO toxic.
.
I'm not talking about when you are a valid target.
.
If you doing a delivery as a CEO for instance, defending yourself and outmanoeuvring other players is part of the game!
.
But while I thought that to face a jet fighter while in a ground vehicle was a bit too one-sided, They THEN introduced Orbital Cannons! How can you defend against that! How is that sporting or fair?!
.
But when you’re not even a valid target and it comes across as griefing and bullying then the Fun Stops!
.
(Yes there is a badly designed Passive mode, but what if you don't mind being attacked or engaging in combat in principle just make things playable!)
.
Would a brief immunity (For all parties) after a respawn for a few seconds so you can at least ready a weapon really be too much to ask?!
.

THE MOD CHEAT CULTURE!
.
And then the ultimate “Turd in the Punch Bowl” the number of people with cheat Mods and handing out “Free” cash (even against your will, it pollutes your bank balance!).
.
Like a nightclub with clearly signed “No Drugs” policy while people are sniffing off mirrors in plain view! The signs seem merely a token!
.
No other MMO I have ever played has seemed to be quite this “Broken” with corruption!
.
Sure you can keep reporting people if you want to spend all your time just doing that instead of any time playing!
.
Seriously! It is ridiculous how endemic and entrenched the cheating Mod culture is.
.
No other MMO is even close to this level of game-breaking corruption!

All other MMOs manage game integrity so simply there are no excuses to be the only one this terrible!

It is such a real pity because the graphics and world are soooo cool and the game has Sooo much potential to be epic!

(Look how good it is now! You all play it and have a fan site! Now imagine what it could have been without cheat mods! How good in theory it could still become!)

It is a very sad state of affairs!

And don’t say "it can not be fixed" because I don’t buy that excuse!

Simply don't allow a subroutine insertion,
while at the same time putting hard caps on numeral values that have top tree priority so they can not be overridden.

Your only main problem is making saved data for server-side than local.

I'm not an expert and my knowledge is a little out of date, but I assume the basic fundamentals of coding still apply!

You don't see people managing to give themselves a God mode on World Of Warcraft!

Whenever I have a lump of money to afford a kick-ass console I choose to upgrade my PC instead.

If they fixed the problem for consoles ( As I keep hearing ) then what excuse is there for not fixing the PC version?

To be Honest, I doubt they will even notice! If they happen to notice they will be lazy to do anything about it.

In a Just world, You would always know at the back of your mind that no matter how good you get at the game, that you got a leg up, cheated and in a Just world any victories to you would be muted in satisfaction and feel a little hollow.

But we do not live in a Just world so I doubt you would be bothered or give it a second thought.

So, in reality, there will be no negative consequences in any form.

You just have to decide what sort of person you want to be.

People are hired to maintain the servers, Write, moderate and create content, Someone cleans the toilets onsite. peoples paid jobs are involved.

We all hate the Fat Cats at the top, But those Fat cats hold the purse strings to future projects and the less profit they get (Deserved or not) the less development budget they will a future Rockstar Games. You are not rebelling against or harming them! They will just have their secretary move the money somewhere else.

Ignore the self-righteous rhetoric. Consider me some weird lone nut. Ignore all ideas of integrity and morality and self-discipline. Fair enough, Your choice.

If you reduce the attractiveness of possible future projects by reducing their potential projected profits and return. You are reducing both their initial allocated budgets or even their possible very existence.

HOW TO REVERSE GRIEF!

What I christen reverse griefing.

Kinda fun if you the sort with OCD like me!

1)
You find yourself griefed.
.
2)
Give them the benefit of the doubt and participate with them.
.
3)
Realise that they don't actually want to share a game experience and are just griefing you.
.
(now the fun part)
.
4)
Let them kill you over and over again without defending yourself!
.
5)
Set up Kindle and some good music because this may take a while!
.
6)
Let them keep killing you, Just move the mouse a bit once in a while so you don't get logged off!
.
7)
When they finally stop,
(personal record 76 kills! Soo close to the magic 100! got down to 184 single dollars!)
.
Without doing any attacks keep following them around calling them a "quitting pussy"
.
8)
Let them continue to kill you!
.
9)
Keep at it, you have OCD, good tunes and a book, they don't!
Until they rage quit!

You got to listen to your favourite tunes and read a good book while enjoying ruining some would-be griefers game time!

And at the same time "Gifted" someone else who would otherwise have been griefed next, a decent chance of some decent playtime!

ADDITIONAL SUGGESTIONS
FOR GTA ONLINE!

1 )
After a kill have an immunity respawn time (for both parties so we don't get a GTA 4 situation) that increases with the time between the same combatants. Maybe area affects immunity for all in case of multiple combatants!
.
2)
FULE. Make using aircraft / Petrol / or Diesel and tactical choice by adding various fuel pumps and having to top all vehicles with fuel. Obviously, aviation fuel would cost far more than petrol and petrol more than deal! (Might also stimulate shark cash sales! You are a business after all!) Could certainly tie in with future content and parody of American Oil dependence!

3)
Have a maximum number of times the same person can kill you per hour! Maybe shorter cooldowns until becoming a valid target for higher-level players while giving the lower player a longer chance not be attacked! Or base cools down on a comparative level between the two.
.
4)
Bracketed server NOT just based on the level but also on the total value of financial resources. So people of more equal power can play together! In the case of groups simply add ALL their values together. SO a gang of 10 can face a gang of five if members of a gang added together are within 1 million of each other gangs on the same server! Financial resources (physical rather than cash) make FAR more difference than level!

Make Passive mode easier to turn on rather than exiting MC or CEO status then scrolling through the menu to activate!
.
6)
Most important and most obvious threat to the longevity of game as a business for Rockstar, STOP THE DAMN MODS! Not just cash creators (which harm you shark sales ) But also cheat mods, item creators, god modes, ALL of them no exceptions! Because these are eroding your long-term customer base. (Yes there will my a BIG fall in number for a while because it is so endemic to the point most can’t even see that they are doing anything wrong.) But aim for much more money over a longer period of time. It is not just the reputation of the present GTA online at stake but future projects and investment as well!

MORE shark card product/brackets to choose from with slightly improved bonus for “Buying up a level” and make the benefits more obvious!

All the best game are an elaborate version of Rock paper scissors, with this in mind have some sort of Countermeasure to both normal cars vs. jet fighter and certainly against the Orbital Cannon. Game balance-wise you should make the countermeasure 5% (ish) more affordable than the main attack! But even that out with a limited number of uses and limits of amounts you can carry at a time.

Similar to Fuel. Have a maximum limit and options to buy more in ammo of things that, at the moment have unlimited ammo! (Thinking rockets on jets, 50mm guns on vans etc!)

Allow (for a price) to have the ability to be a master business planner! So you can be a combined MC and CEO without having to switch roles! Maybe have this connected to having the luxury Yacht which at the moment seems like just an overpriced apartment!

ADDITIONAL NOTES EXPANSION IDEAS!

Extra Faction:
Let's Be Cops! Totally separate player characters, counter missions and levelling up experience. Possible Crew vs Cops Heist, scenarios!

Extra Expansion:
Cyber Crime Skill with slowly increasing ability bar (as you do with driving, shooting, flying etc)

Extra Expansion:
Let us be religious cultist! (a bit out there, but some interesting possibilities along the lines already established by the existence of Epsilon Programme!) Maybe some charm skill bar involved along with media and advertising takeovers and empires!
