1) A fair regulated Free Press that is accountable for any misleading or false News.

2) A high standard National Education system where students are taught to reason, analyse and to question as well as absorb facts.

3) A society that does Not look down on intelligence and learning as a bad thing, OR sees ignorance as somehow "Cool".

4) A society that KNOWS it is a proper function of democracy to question their elected official's authority!

4 Things that Stop Democracy Working.
(Effectively breaking it!)

1) A multi-tiered Education system leading to layers of an unofficial social "Caste", The sort of Education system that gives its lowest "Social Caste" Just enough education to work in shops and factories but penalises any form of questioning of the status quo.

2) A biased press that is controlled by a few powerful individuals with no accountability or penalty for spreading lies and misinformation.
.
3) A society that celebrates ignorance and cares more about trite shit like TV Talent Shows, and Sport than social issues. Where terms of intelligence like "Nerd" or "Swot" are used as an insult.

4) A society that thinks it is somehow "Un-patriotic" to question authority!
