I have No intention of doing the classic Alpha Male Crap of trying to Intimidate My Daughters future partners!

I DO NOT want them to be ‘Scared’ or ‘Intimidated' by Me!

I WANT THEM TO BE

‘SCARED’ AND ‘INTIMIDATED’

BY HER!

.

Long after I am dead or any longer able to be physically capable,

She will have to be able to protect and look after herself and her friends and family!

.

Be like Me and start to teach you, daughter, to be a Bad Ass!

Both Physically and Mentally!

.

No one can be around to protect their kids all the time,

So the best way is to teach them to protect themselves!

.

AND

.

Be able to pick themselves up again and still be unbroken WHEN they lose!

.

(Because no one constantly wins their entire life)

.

It is NOT just about physical combat.

.

Tell them about psychological Tactics like ‘Gas Lighting’ emotionally an abusive partner will use.

.

Let them understand how bad people will try and deflect blame onto their victims,

And where the shame should actually lie!

.

That just being able to say something does in no way automatically make it true!

.

That statement like “You Made Me Do This!” is no truer than saying “The Sun Is Made Of Chocolate Ice Cream!”

.

Teach them to get Angry rather than be frightened into inaction!

.

And IF the worst happens, teach them they are partly morally culpable for the suffering of future less strong victims, if they do not do everything in their power, despite all odds and resistance, to get that perpetrator locked away and dealt with!

.

But DO NOT FORGET to Also teach them the life skills of Empathy and to Care about the fate of Fellow Human Beings!

And while you are at it teach all this to your Son’s as well!

There is a line in the above that some have taken issue with.

.

I have to admit that bit bothered me too.

.

I have very mixed feelings and find myself a "Bit on the fence" of that one.

.

On the one hand, it is expecting an unfair amount of courage and strength from someone that has been traumatised,

.

While on the other,

Without such hero's nothing would ever get reported!

Ever!

.

It is similar to, this.

.

On the one hand, having a shower after a serious sexual offence is "Stupid" (note: not my words!) because it destroys vital evidence.

.

On the other hand,

If you are the one that has been attacked and are sitting in that traumatised head, it is simply what you have to do!

.

Yes, it may be frustrating for prosecutors BUT unless they, themselves, have been through that level of crap they can have no idea what an impossibility, they are asking of those who have been attacked!

.

I do feel a little conflicted and torn on that one!

.

I have sat in that sort of head, and I deeply. hatefully regret and feel full of self-loathing for being too 'weak' to do 'what was right,' at the time.

.

Yes, my 'Intellectual' head knows that this is a stupid, non-productive, maybe even self-indulgent attitude to have.

.

But unfortunately for me, my 'emotional side' that screams at me for days on end during a bad spell doesn't give a shit what my 'Intellectual head' thinks!

.

The main reason I feel I cannot edit or alter that line is that I cannot let go of that guilt.

.

It is me accusing myself of the indirect suffering of others!

.

It is me irrationally choosing to continue living with unjust feelings of shame and cowardice.

.

But to those that find that line offensive, I am truly sorry, and I understand your anger.

.

But I cannot remove that line until I can forgive myself of that accusation!
