There is an Australian Mermaid series on NETFLIX called H2O.
.
My daughter Rose also loves it!

They tried to make a pilot for a new spin-off series/sequel.

Although it was financed, greenlighted, written and even filmed it got hurriedly taken off air within 10 minutes!

The Station airing it had to make a massive apology to the public, and there were threats of multiple class-action lawsuits by very angry parents!

The spin of the sequel series titled "H2O2" only got as far as 10 minutes in the piolet before having to be taken off the air.
.
Apparently, kids get very upset when they see young mermaids screaming in agony while dissolving!
.
Who’d of Thought?

Go figure?

Things only got worse when it was then realised that,

NO SPECIAL EFFECTS HAD BEEN USED IN THE OPENING SCENE!

A full multiple murder investigation was launched and has now taken over 4 years without any results!

The main problem being the lack of any victim corpses or other available physical evidence!
