The time it takes for 10 close friends and family to spontaneously decide where to go to eat out?

Usually, more than 90 minutes before you all get through the restaurant door!

The time it would take an Evil All-Powerful World Overlord to force people upon pain of torture and death to save our species by committing to Environmental practices and recycling efforts that Did work effectively?

About a year to make things happen!

The time it is going to take a crapload of committees and delegations from all the nations of the world to decide how to save our species and commit to those choices?

BUT!
Then we are stuck with a,
ONE ALL POWERFUL EVIL OVERLORD!

You know such a person will make the right ‘Environmental’ decisions because they would have to have to be extremely clever,

It would take a true Genius on monumental proportions to organised enough to defeat and subjugate the entire world against all possible opposition,

Against all the forces of “Good” pitted against them!

But no matter how brilliant their mind was,

It would still be impossible to achieve without being truly evil,
.
They would have persecuted a series of minorities in order to gather enough political and financial power to even attempt to make a start!

And there would most definitely need to be a series of Holocaust in order to keep the world in line!

The poor victims that are chosen, the labels and excuses used would not actually matter,
.
Because for them to be smart enough to achieve that level or world domination they would also have to be clever enough not to believe their own bullshit.

People like me would be some of the very first to be made an “Example out of”

So, the choice might be

Subjugation by an All-Powerful Evil Overlord,
OR
The death or our entire species!

Let’s face it,

No one in the time frame available will be able to take over the world,

So, we are most certainly doomed by the very ingrained nature of the whole of humanity itself!

If I had to choose, as one possible example, between,

A)

A 'Saved Earth' controlled by so-called ‘perfect’ white supremacist race ruling a clean pretty ‘pseudo paradise’ world

Or

B)
.
Having the Earth scorched of every living cell!

The out of those two options I would scream.

“Pass me that flame thrower!”
“The Earth is Toast!”

Because I’d much rather we all died FREE than exist in a Nazi-controlled world!

(Or however else it might be “Rebranded”)

That level of price for our species survival is much too high!
