If you want to save your local independent pub then campaign for a local business rate reduction for pubs!

THIS self-serving campaign will ONLY help big chains such as Wetherspoons!

Then find a landlord who has lost his pub,
someone you know personally that is NOT a random social media ghost who "Says" they are an ex-landlord and ask them what killed their business off!

The 'Beer Tax' OR the last local business rate hike!

The beer tax is not the overhead that adds as much to overall end prices, anywhere near as much a the local business rates.

The end price of beer is far more affected 'that' local rate than it is by the national beer tax.

Reducing the local rate or local rate relief will save the independent mico breweries and family generational run pubs.

While lowering the national beer tax will only help those who have chains and can sell in vast bulks on an almost 'macro' economic scale.

It is the independent that need the help staying open, not the chains.

As a metaphor,
Lowering the beer tax is like using a sawn-off shotgun full of rock salt.

While lowering business rates is like using a precision hunting rifle.
.
The shot sawn-off shotgun WILL hit everything but make bugger all difference.

While using the Hunting Riffle will target and help those who really need it,
In the areas where it is needed most!
